I can’t help it, everytime I can, I just do it…taking advantage of one of my trips of this summer I had the opportunity to visit the LaM, Lille Métropole Musée d’art moderne d’art contemporain et d’art brut and La Piscine, Musée d’art et d’industrie Adré Diligent. If you are in the area, I highly recommend you to visit them.

The LaM is located in a huge and beautiful park where you can find some large sculptures.

I love visiting museums in small cities where you find real jewels that, a priori, you would not think to find more than in great museums of big cities. And at the LaM I found really interesting pieces.

The LaM is a cocktail of Modern Art, Contemporary Art and Gross Art so it was a luxury to find such a good collection of works by one of my favorite Picasso artists along with other beautiful works by Mondigliani and other artists such as Klee, Bacon, Bauchnat, Braque, Calder and many more. There is certainly much art in the LaM.

The visit to Le Piscine was also a great and original surprise. Taking advantage of a beautiful Art Deco pool it has been created an art space with a very diverse collection of art that is completed with works that talk of the industrial history of the area.

And best of all, is that I visited these fantastic museums with my dear friend Gwendoline, the best hostess you can have in Lile. Merci chérie, -)
