Returning home is always a very pleasant experience and if your city is Madrid and your visit coincides with Art Week, it certainly makes everything much better. I was able to “escape” from Dubai for a few days to meet my family and friends and also to visit some of the Art Fairs that have taken place in Madrid recently, and it has been a fantastic experience.

Due to limited time, I concentrated on the two main fairs because of their size and trajectory.

At Arco, the first thing that caught my attention was that, despite the Coronavirus, and the admission price, the halls were full of interested people. There is nothing sadder than an empty art fair! I would also call attention to the amount of pictorial works that were in front of other editions in which more installations and photographs were seen.

As always, there were very interesting pieces by the most Spanish artists with international followings, along with others from non-Spanish galleries. I enjoyed an Italian and a German gallery with very original artists and works.

In ArtMadrid one can enjoy interesting proposals in different disciplines and of course visit the stand of the Kreisler Gallery, so everything was in the family, -)

I was also able to visit the exhibition organized by Inkandmovement in the Kreisler Gallery, Theriomorphism VII in which Okuda San Miguel invites several artist friends to collaborate on works that are very original and colorful.
