Last September 17th the Kreisler Gallery opened its season 15/16 with a fantastic exhibition of the sculptor Jorge Palacios

This summer my children and I had the opportunity to visit Jorge in his creative space, I am very grateful to his time and explanations of the process of study and work he has of each one of his sculptures works from the moment the wood is selected until he brings those wonderful shapes out of it.

As a child I have had the opportunity to visit many artists studios so I wanted to take my children to understand and to see with their own eyes where are created the works that they see in museums, galleries or at home. No doubt they enjoyed the visit and subsequent picnic and it is one of their more special memories from last summer.

The installation of the exhibition at the gallery was quite a challenge as, some of the pieces, have a great size but the result could not have been better, the attention that Jorge put in the lighting and positioning in each one of the pieces was very calculated and demonstrates his professionalism in all the aspects of his work.

I confess that I’ve always been a lover of wood sculptures; I like their touch, their smell and believe that they have a long life, so I’m enjoying especially this exhibition. Every morning, when I arrive to the Kreisler Gallery, I enjoy the aroma of wood that has permeated the walls of the Gallery since the works are in it, it is something very special.

After a massive opening, there was an eager to see the work of Jorge in Madrid, I encourage you to come to see the exhibition I have no doubt you will love it and when you stroll through it you will be the feeling that you walking through a forest in the heart of Madrid.
