Nader Barhumi

Born in Peru to Lebanese parents, Nader Barhumi is a Spanish and Peruvian artist. He studied fine arts at the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru, at the Complutense University of Madrid, at the Escola Massana in Barcelona,and at the Byam Shaw School of Art in London (part of Central Saint Martins College of Arts and Design), where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree.

He has held individual and collective exhibitions over the last thirty years in cities as diverse as Lima, Barcelona, ​​London, Cologne, New York, Miami, and Madrid.

His last individual exhibition took place in April 2022 at La Galeria de San Isidro, in Lima, where around 15 works were on show. In June 2021, his works were exhibited for two months in different spaces at the Modus Operandi Gallery in Madrid. In 2019 the renowned ICPNA (Peruvian American Cultural Center) in Lima organized an extensive anthology exhibition which covered his whole career as an artist. A special exhibition catalogue was printed  to commemorate this event.

Nader Barhumi’s work can be found in different institutional collections around the world, such as the National Art Gallery of the Government Palace of Peru, the Arequipa Museum of Contemporary Art, the Peruvian American Cultural Center and the Four Seasons Hotel in Miami, as well as private collections both in Europe and the Americas: Germany, England, Italy, Spain, USA, Colombia, Mexico and Argentina.

This year, 2023, he has participated in the Art Fair in Cologne, Germany and in the PARC Lima Art Fair, Peru.

He currently lives in Madrid, where he is working on an exhibition to be held this year at La Galeria de San Isidro, in Lima.
