When practicing snorkel, there is sometimes a big difference between the bright surface and the dark sea bottom. The surface with the colors of the clothes or the effects of the sun on the skin, is the symbol of the known and safe world. With dark colors and those not so familiar beings around, the bottom is the symbol of mystery and uncertainty. All of us swim daily between the routine and the novelty, between the surface and the bottom, and as in the sea, to push out into the unknown can be a wonderful adventure. This painting shows both sides of the sea.
