Luis Medina

Born and based in Santander (Spain), he has done more than thirty individual exhibitions. Several of his works have been finalists in several painting awards in Spain and are in private collections in Spain, the United States and the United Kingdom principality.

He believes in a continuous evolution of the work, which is naturally caused by the fact that  he let himself be carried away by your own discoveries and sensations when he creates it. Influenced by his studies in industrial engineering, his works at present present a geometric pattern.

Luis Medina paints striking works that are minimalist in composition and expressive in color. In his art, Luis tries to give visual form to feeling and sensation, through geometric or abstract expressionist compositions. These are represented in different series of his work.

The color and geometry are two main elements in all of his  paintings, stressing the importance of color.
